When you upload a manuscript to SkyCastle Press, it is used for exactly one purpose: helping you write your book. We do not feed your work into AI training pipelines, fine-tuning datasets, or any form of machine learning. Not now, not in the future. Your unpublished story belongs to you — not to a model.
✓ Hard technical guarantee — not just policyEvery word you write, every outline you generate, every draft you refine on SkyCastle Press is yours — full copyright, full commercial rights, forever. We claim zero ownership and zero license over your content. Publish it, sell it, adapt it, keep it private. SkyCastle Press is a tool. Your book is yours.
✓ No IP licensing buried in our termsYour manuscripts and account data are protected with AES-256 encryption at rest — the same standard used by banks and defense agencies. All data in transit is secured with TLS 1.3. This means your work is encrypted from the moment it leaves your device to the moment it's stored on our servers, and while it sits there.

When an AI feature processes your text, it operates exclusively within your session context. No other user — and no SkyCastle employee — can access your unpublished work without your explicit action.
✓ Per-user data isolation enforced at database levelWhen you delete your SkyCastle Press account, your data is gone — completely and permanently. This includes every manuscript, every draft, every outline, every voice profile, and every piece of generated content. We don't archive it. We don't keep "anonymized" copies. If you ask us to delete your account, we erase it. You'll receive email confirmation when deletion is complete.
✓ Permanent deletion within 30 days of requestYour manuscripts are not shared, sold, licensed, or disclosed to any third party — not to publishers, data brokers, advertisers, or AI companies. We use third-party infrastructure providers (hosting, databases) to run SkyCastle Press, and these providers are contractually prohibited from accessing or processing your content. Your work stays between you and the platform.

Transparency means being specific, not just reassuring. Here's the complete list.
Delivering the service: Your manuscript text is sent to AI models (Claude by Anthropic) in real-time to generate suggestions, edits, and analysis. These API calls are stateless — Anthropic processes your request and returns a response. Your content is not stored or used by Anthropic to train their models under our API agreement.
Improving your experience: We store your voice profile, project history, and preferences so you don't start from scratch every session. This data is yours and you can delete it anytime.
Account administration: Email address for login, billing, and product updates. Unsubscribe anytime from marketing emails. Transactional emails (receipts, security alerts) cannot be opted out of while your account is active.
