By creating a SkyCastle Press account, you agree to these terms. They govern your subscription, your content, and how we resolve disputes.
SkyCastle Press is a monthly subscription service. Your billing cycle starts the day you subscribe and renews automatically every 30 days until you cancel.
Charges are made to the payment method on file at the start of each billing period. Prices are displayed in USD. We'll notify you at least 14 days before any price increase takes effect.
You can change your plan or cancel anytime from your account settings. Changes take effect at the next billing cycle โ your current access continues through the end of the period you've already paid for.
โ No surprise charges โ everWe may offer a free trial period when you first sign up. During a trial, your card is not charged. At the end of the trial, your subscription activates automatically โ we'll send you a reminder email 48 hours before this happens.
Refunds: Because SkyCastle Press is a digital service and access to the platform begins immediately, we do not offer refunds for subscription fees already charged. If you cancel mid-cycle, you retain access until the end of your paid period โ we don't prorate or refund partial months.
Exception: If you experience a service outage that renders the platform substantially unusable for more than 72 continuous hours, contact us and we'll credit your account pro-rata for the downtime.
โ Trial reminder sent 48 hours before chargeSkyCastle Press is built for authors writing books, stories, and long-form creative work. Use it for that and we'll never have a problem.

Violations may result in immediate account suspension without refund.
โ Reasonable rules for creative professionalsSkyCastle Press uses large language models (currently Claude by Anthropic) to assist with writing, editing, and analysis. Here's what that means for your work:
You own what you create. Any content you write on SkyCastle Press โ including AI-assisted drafts, outlines, and edits you accept โ belongs to you. We make no claim over it.
AI suggestions are suggestions. SkyCastle Press generates text to help you write, not to write for you. You're responsible for reviewing, editing, and standing behind the final work you publish or distribute.
Accuracy isn't guaranteed. AI models can produce plausible-sounding but factually incorrect content. For non-fiction, always verify facts independently. We are not liable for errors in AI-generated suggestions you choose to incorporate.
AI capabilities evolve. We may update or change the underlying AI models powering SkyCastle Press. We aim to maintain or improve quality; if a model change meaningfully degrades functionality, we'll communicate it in advance.
โ You own the writing. AI is just the tool. You can cancel anytime. Cancel from your account settings โ no hoops, no retention calls, no guilt. Your data remains accessible through your paid period, then gets scheduled for deletion per our privacy policy.
We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraud, or create legal risk for SkyCastle Press. In non-emergency cases, we'll give you 14 days' notice and an opportunity to respond.
Emergency terminations (illegal content, active fraud, security threats) may happen immediately without prior notice.
If we close your account for reasons not attributable to your conduct, we'll refund any prepaid subscription fees for unused time.
โ Cancel is always one click awaySkyCastle Press is provided "as is." We work hard to keep it reliable, but we can't promise it will be available 100% of the time or that every AI suggestion will be perfect.
We are not liable for: lost manuscripts (keep local backups), revenue you expected but didn't earn, or indirect losses caused by service interruptions or AI errors.
Our maximum liability to you in any 12-month period is capped at the total fees you paid to SkyCastle Press in that same 12-month period.
Some jurisdictions don't allow limitations on liability for certain types of damages. If you're in one of those jurisdictions, some of the above may not apply to you โ and that's fine.
